It feels light, the fan is always cool, its quiet, the screen picture is great, the specs for this are pretty high considering the low price, and it is fast. If you want a laptop around this price range I would highly recommend it. Tried it with some games and it works wonderful playing Europa Universals 3, The Sims 3, World of Warcraft and Empire: Total War. The audio is fantastic it really sounds great when playing games, music, and video. Works great when running tons of programs at once never had a slowdown. The picture during games and videos is fantastic in the HD. It runs DVDs perfectly. Webcam quality is really good. Everything about this laptop is great for the price range. Not much to complain about but I kind of do not like the feel of the mouse other than that its fantastic. Great all-purpose laptop, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Lenovo Y570 08622MU 15.6-Inch Laptop (Dusk Black) (Personal Computers) I actually purchased this along with a Dell XPS 15 with a 1080p screen and GT520m, and returned the Dell in favor of this Lenovo for several reasons, ($100 difference in price being one of them). Here are my thoughts after a head to head comparison and several weeks of use. This is not an ultraportable notebook, its a full-on 15" desktop replacement. The battery is 62Whr (if you get the y470, unless you get an i7, the battery is less potent, the same does not apply to the 570).The high points: -Phenomenal heat management thanks to a massive copper heatsink and decent fan on the left side. The palm rests stay cool even under gaming load. If you use a cooling pad, you can also overclock the GT555m. -Very good sound for a laptop. The only laptop that sounds better is the Dell XPS since it has a built in subwoofer.I purchased a 1080p xps 15 the same time as the y570 for a head to head and kept the y570 -mSATA slot for an internal SSD.
